SpotOn’s Forest Mode improves GPS performance under dense leaf cover from trees, brush, or bushes.
SpotOn is set with Forest Mode enabled to ensure the best possible GPS reliability under trees, brush, or bushes. If your fence boundary is less than 10 feet from your house, you may want to disable Forest Mode.
Forest Mode disables indoor detection. When Forest Mode is disabled, SpotOn will recognize the collar is indoors and will not issue any warnings or corrections.
Disable Forest Mode only if your fence boundary is very close to your house OR your fence boundary runs through your house AND your fence boundary does not run through any trees, brush, or bushes.
Important!
When Forest Mode is enabled, always take the collar off your dog when coming indoors to avoid the risk of your dog receiving a false correction.
