First let's make sure you have the right app! There are two different SpotOn apps.

The older one is used with the first-generation system, The SpotOn Virtual Smart Fence and is called SpotOn VSF. The new one works with the second-generation system, SpotOn GPS Fence and is called SpotOn GPS Fence.

The information on which app to use is also available in your user manual.
