SpotOn Fence requires a minimum collar software version of 1.2.3.0 or higher
Starting October 21, 2024, SpotOn Fence will only support collars that are on collar software version 1.2.3.0 or higher.
Why is there a minimum collar software version?
We made some changes in our backend infrastructure to improve the performance of our products. We recommend upgrading to the latest software to keep your collar and app running smoothly and securely.
How can I check my collar software and update it?
Visit the “How Do I know that SpotOn has the latest software?” article in our FAQs. Scroll to the “Checking the SpotOn Collar Software” section and follow the instructions to update the collar software. Please note: the software on the collar is separate from the software on the app.
What happens if my collar is still on an older collar software version after October 21, 2024?
After October 21, 2024, containment will still work but you will experience issues with cellular features like tracking if you don’t upgrade your collar to version 1.2.3.0 or higher.
Will I still be able to access the app and upgrade after October 21, 2024?
Yes.
