What is the Call Dog (Whistle) command?

The Call Dog command lets you call your dog back to you - no yelling or chasing required. Just tap the whistle button in the SpotOn GPS Fence app, and your dog will hear a whistle tone through their collar. That sound is your dog’s cue to head straight back to you, no matter where they’ve wandered.

Where can I find the whistle?

You’ll find the Call Dog whistle button in the SpotOn Fence app. Here’s how to get there:

1. Open the SpotOn Fence app.
2. Tap on Track at the bottom.  
3. Look for the Whistle button towards the bottom of the screen.

How do I use the whistle?

To get the best results with the Call Dog command, pair it with a voice command like “Come” or “Here” - but stick with one word so you don’t confuse your pup. Before you start using the feature, we strongly recommend completing the in-app Call Dog training.

Here’s how to find the training on your phone:

1. Open the SpotOn Fence app.
2. Go to the Track screen.
3. Tap the question mark (?) icon in the upper-right corner.
4. On the third help screen, tap Call Dog > Whistle command training.
