Learn how to restart your collar and reconnect it to GPS.
How to restart your collar
1. Press and hold the power button until the lights turn off - at least 5 seconds.
2. Release the power button.
3. Wait at least 1 minute.
4. Press and hold the power button again until the lights come back on.
Reconnect to satellite
Once the collar has restarted, step outside with your dog so the collar can reconnect to GPS (and cellular if your collar has a subscription).
Omni or older collars: Hold the collar with the GPS module (the small square with the satellite logo) facing upward.
Nova collars: Hold the collar with the dog logo facing downward, toward the ground.
Hold this position for a few minutes to help the collar reconnect.
What to expect
Give the collar 10-15 minutes after restart to fully reconnect to GPS. During this time, the Track screen in the SpotOn Fence app may show as “Gathering Satellite Data” - this is expected. You'll know GPS is connected when the satellite icon on the Dogs screen displays the number of connected satellites.
